Dr. Joel Jean is the Co-founder and CEO of Swift Solar. He previously served as founding Executive Director of the Tata-MIT GridEdge Solar research program. As a solar researcher at MIT, he co-authored the MIT Future of Solar Energy Study and worked extensively on advanced photovoltaic technologies, technoeconomic analysis, and energy policy. Joel has been recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 in Energy, winner of the MIT Clean Earth Hackathon and the Katerva Award, and one of Business Insider's Rising Stars of Clean Energy. Joel holds a PhD and SM in EE from MIT and a BS in EE with distinction from Stanford University.
