Growth Strategy and Sustainability, R-Zero Systems

Kevin’s expertise in policy and strategic communications spans climate, public health, national security, and tech. He served in the Obama Administration as a policy and communications advisor to multiple cabinet secretaries, including speechwriter to Secretary of Defense Ash Carter and Chief Speechwriter and advisor to Gina McCarthy (then-Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, now President Biden's Climate Advisor). Prior to EPA, Kevin served on President Obama's climate team; during his tenure at the Pentagon, he earned 2016 Forbes 30 under 30 recognition in the Law and Policy category. Kevin is also a member of the energy policy discipline at the Truman National Security Project. During graduate study at Yale University’s School of the Environment in climate policy and international affairs, he worked as a climate negotiations advisor at the UN.

Kevin's experience advising executive leadership on policy and communications goes beyond federal government -- spanning philanthropy, academic medicine, city politics, and world-leading tech and interactive-media companies (ex: The Walt Disney Company). Today, Kevin leads growth strategy and sustainability at R-Zero Systems, a fast-growing public health tech company fundamentally raising the bar for smart and healthy buildings in a post-pandemic world. In addition, Kevin spends time advising multinational companies on sustainability and climate goals and facilitates dialogues between climate tech innovators and policymakers.
