GOB, founded by Lauryn Menard, was named to Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2025 for creating the first biodegradable soundwear—earplugs engineered for comfort, performance, and designed to return to the earth within weeks. Lauryn launched GOB to challenge how we consume everyday products, blending cultural relevance with material innovation. Previously, she led PROWL, a regenerative design studio whose work was featured in The New York Times, Financial Times, Wallpaper, and Surface. She also teaches Biodesign at California College of the Arts, where she mentors future designers in sustainable and responsible innovation.
